Have You Got the Body to Suit this Weather?
The UK has experienced some beautiful weather of late, smashing records and leaving us all feeling particularly summery. When the sun comes out we are all more likely to slip into our summer outfits; shorts, T-shirts, summer dresses, bikinis or whatever it is that you like to wear in the hotter months. The problem that a lot of us experience in this instance is that we don’t have the body confidence to go out in what we want to wear, with some people feeling that they aren’t the right shape to wear a bikini, or take their top off on the beach.
I would always encourage everybody to love themselves and not feel inferior to those with stereotypically ‘better’ bodies. However, if you are looking to shift a few pounds, tone up or build some muscle this summer, and gain that extra bit of confidence, then I can help you. I am an experienced personal trainer in Didsbury with a lengthy history of helping clients achieve their body goals. The ‘Summer Body’
We are absolutely surrounded these days by people who, to be quite honest, show off their physiques. Through magazines, social media and programmes like Love Island, we are told what is ‘perfect’. I don’t agree with this, I think the two most important things in a person’s physique are firstly, are you healthy, and secondly, are you confident? If any individual can find the perfect balance between the two, then you will be happy, healthy and blissfully ignorant of what other people tell you that you should look like. It isn’t about having a six pack or a rear end like Kim Kardashian, it’s it simply about looking at yourself and thinking, ‘yeah, I’m looking good’! As a personal trainer, this is exactly what I endeavour to give to my clients.
My Approach to Personal Training
To me, personal training is one of the most tailored services that anyone can receive. The exercise and nutrition programme is entirely built around the individual client, as that is the best way to get the results you are looking for! Here are some crucial aspects of training that I ask my clients about:
Where are you now?
Where do you want to be?
How long do you want to spend training in order to achieve your results?
What is the key outcome you wish to achieve?
Do you have any limitations?
After I know the answers to these questions I can start to build a plan to suit that client’s needs and desires. I believe this is the best way for any personal trainer to maximise the results their client sees!
